2026 US Masters

Welcome to the official website of the U.S. Masters Brass Band Championships. We are excited to celebrate the fifth edition of this premier event on November 14, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Join us for a full day of outstanding brass band performances as ensembles from across North America compete for U.S. Masters honors. The first band takes the stage at 10:00 AM, beginning a day filled with musical excellence, entertainment, and friendly competition. Following the conclusion of the championship performances, the Fountain City Brass Band will present a special gala concert at approximately 5:00 PM. The day will culminate with the presentation of awards immediately following the concert.

UMKC Performing Arts Center

Located on the campus of the UMKC Conservatory in the heart of Kansas City, the James C. Olson Performing Arts Center has been one of the region’s premier performing arts venues since its opening in 1979. Home to the Conservatory’s renowned music, dance, and theatre programs, the facility serves as a center for artistic excellence and professional-level performance.

Conveniently located at 4949 Cherry Street on UMKC’s Volker Campus, the James C. Olson Performing Arts Center provides an inspiring setting for the U.S. Masters Brass Band Championships. Its rich artistic heritage, exceptional facilities, and central location make it an ideal gathering place for brass bands, performers, adjudicators, and audiences from across North America.

Una Validiores: Fountain City at 25

Join the Fountain City Brass Band as it celebrates its 25th Anniversary Season with Una Validiores: Fountain City at 25, the featured gala concert of the 2026 U.S. Masters Brass Band Championships.

Named for the band’s motto, Una Validiores (“Stronger Together”), this special anniversary performance honors a quarter century of musical excellence, enduring friendships, and a shared commitment to the brass band tradition. Since its founding in 2002, the Fountain City Brass Band has grown from a local ensemble into one of North America’s most successful and respected brass bands, earning ten North American Brass Band Championship titles, ten U.S. Open Championships, and international acclaim through performances, recordings, and educational initiatives.

This milestone concert will celebrate the people, performances, and achievements that have shaped the band’s first twenty-five years. Audiences can expect an exciting and entertaining program featuring audience favorites, memorable moments from the band’s history, virtuosic soloists, and music that reflects the spirit and ambition of the Fountain City Brass Band.

Whether you are a longtime supporter, a former member, or experiencing the band for the first time, Una Validiores: Fountain City at 25 promises to be a joyful celebration of community, artistry, and the power of making music together.

The 2026 U.S. Masters Brass Band Championships Awards Ceremony will immediately follow the conclusion of the concert.

US Masters Afterglow

When the final awards have been presented, the celebration continues at the official U.S. Masters Afterglow at Martin City Brewing Company. Join friends old and new for great food, cold drinks, and plenty of brass band camaraderie as participants and spectators gather to celebrate an unforgettable day of music, competition, and community.
