UMKC Performing Arts Center
Located on the campus of the UMKC Conservatory in the heart of Kansas City, the James C. Olson Performing Arts Center has been one of the region’s premier performing arts venues since its opening in 1979. Home to the Conservatory’s renowned music, dance, and theatre programs, the facility serves as a center for artistic excellence and professional-level performance.
Conveniently located at 4949 Cherry Street on UMKC’s Volker Campus, the James C. Olson Performing Arts Center provides an inspiring setting for the U.S. Masters Brass Band Championships. Its rich artistic heritage, exceptional facilities, and central location make it an ideal gathering place for brass bands, performers, adjudicators, and audiences from across North America.
US Masters Awards Banquet
Join us for the official Awards Banquet of the US Masters Brass Band Entertainment Championships, held from 7:00–11:00 PM at the Embassy Suites near Kansas City Airport. This special evening brings together musicians, directors, and fans for a celebratory dinner honoring the weekend’s top performances. Enjoy a relaxed, festive atmosphere as we share a meal, recognize excellence, and connect with the brass band community. All are welcome—don’t miss this memorable conclusion to championship weekend!

Inspired by the worlds foremost brass entertainment festivals such as England’s Brass in Concert and Norway’s Siddis Brass, as well as the truly American institutions of marching bands and Drum Corps International; the US Masters is a can’t miss experience for brass bands and audiences alike.
