However, it should be noted that necessary rules will apply to such use, and these are as follows:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>A large screen is projected to the audience above the main stage.<\/p><ol><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ol><li>The US Masters can play slideshow presentations or play back movie files. These must be shared to info@usmasters.org by <strong>November 1<\/strong>\u00a0for checking and compiling.<\/li><li>If you plan to use a slideshow, please use Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote for Mac. Please prepare your presentation in widescreen 16:9 format.<\/li><li>Any movie files should be prepared at 1920&#215;1080, 25p, and be in MP4 (H.264) format. These should be of a bitrate of approx. 4 Mbps, depending on content. Please be aware that movies submitted in different forms may not play back as expected.<\/li><li>Do not use the extremities of the screen for text or essential graphics as this may be cropped due to the border around the screen \u2013 stay within a \u201csafe\u201d area.<\/li><li>Once a video has been started, it cannot be stopped and re-started. Separate video files will be required if this is needed. However, the screen can be cut to black on request (i.e., if a video was mistimed on the day, for example).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>Audio files can be played back if required. The U.S. Masters will not accept responsibility for the technical failure of any intended multimedia material. Bands wishing to avail themselves of the large screen facility should be aware of the following: The Adjudicators WILL be informed of those bands using the facility and will be asked to take its effectiveness into account in their assessment. Music Performance will comprise 80% of the final score, with Entertainment making up the remaining 20%.<\/p><p>The basis for the adjudicators&#8217; evaluation is the performers&#8217; achievement as displayed that day. It is the sum of two elements of what they present and how well they perform it. Two adjudicators evaluate the musical performance and a the third judge evaluates entertainment.
